Some mid-season promotion news, courtesy of RiverAveBlues. Forgot to put this in my nightly report:
As you know, OF Aaron Judge is now in Tampa, and made his debut tonight.
OF Taylor Dugas, who had a slash of .294/.403/.424 for Trenton and owns a .422 career OBP in 968 minor league plate appearances, has been promoted to Scranton. The pint-sized 24-year old OBP machine has not stopped hitting since the day he entered the organization. #4 OF potential, but he can really only cover center in a severe pinch (not that the Yankees need center covered)
RHP Nick Goody, who owns a 14.7 K/9 in 37 minor league games, has been promoted to Trenton. Goody had Tommy John surgery last year (if he would have been healthy, he likely starts 2014 in Trenton). Anyway, he is a legit relief prospect to watch.
UTILITY Zach Wilson has rejoined Trenton (where he was 6-for-28 to start the season) after putting up a .266/.306/.406 line in 210 plate appearances for Tampa. At 23 and with some flexibility, he isn't a dead prospect - but he is not really someone to get excited about.
