Yankees Minor League Report 8/18/14: Robert Refsnyder: 2 More Hits; Manny Banuelos Gone Wild

Pete O'Brien, dealt to Arizona in the Martin Prado trade, hasn't played much since the deal, appearing in only four games (5-for-13 with an HR), and none since 8/6.  The obvious assumption is an injury.

Scranton (Defeated Pawtucket again, 2-0)

2B Robert Refsnyder:  2-for-3, SF, RBI, BB

.311/.396/.485 in 241 AB for Scranton.  15-for-42 in last ten games.

UTIL Jose Pirela:  1-for-3, 2 BB

.303/.353/.428 in 488 AB.  Most interesting development tonight is that Pirela actually played the full game in center field.  I have no idea how "pretty" that was.

OF Taylor Dugas:  1-for-5, RBI, K

.317/.394/.379 in 145 AB since joining level.  This does kind of sum up his limitations:  They have an opening in center field tonight, and stick Pirela out there instead of Dugas.   

3B Rob Segedin:  0-for-4

Down to .143.

UTIL Zelous Wheeler:  1-for-2, 2 BB

1B Kyle Roller:  2-for-5, 2B (20), K

IF Scott Sizemore:  0-for-4, K

In case you missed it, he was released and resigned.

LHP Manny Banuelos:  3 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 6 BB, 3 K

68 pitches, only 30 strikes.   Obviously skated on thin ice in these three innings.

RHP Nick Rumbelow (S, 1):  1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K

15th career save in 17 chances, in case you care about that.  Now has a 1.93 ERA in 51.1 IP with 72 strikeouts and 17 walks between Charleston/Tampa/Trenton/Scranton
