As some people speculated would happen, the Yankees have resigned Nik Turley to a minor league deal.
Released off of the 40-man roster a few weeks ago, Turley has yet to throw a pitch in 2014 due to an arm issue.
The Yankees could have called him up and put him on the 60-day DL to open up a 40-man slot as well, but doing that starts the service time clock.
Bottom line? In the end, the Yankees and Turley probably had some sort of agreement in place that he would resign with them. It isn't like Turley had a lot of leverage on his side.
